“Messages from the Hidden Lake” 11th Edition
On Friday, February 21, Friends of the Alamosa Public Library hosted a reception to celebrate the publication of the 11th volume of its literary and art collection, Messages from the Hidden Lake. The event was held at City Hall. 170+ written word enthusiasts attended the event and $815 was awarded to 35 place-winning authors and photographers. The reception included reading, signings, awards, and refreshments provided by the GFWC Woman’s Citizenship Club of Alamosa. Dawn Krebs, Master of Ceremony, led the event. Several young students contributed to the book this year.
“We had a great time, and the kids feel so proud and accomplished! It was definitely worth the work everyone on this project put in.” said attending ASD school teacher Ms. Christoferson. “I am confident the experience will have lasting effects.”
Copies of the book are available for purchase at the Library for $12.
