Alamosa Public Library News

The next meeting of SALVO (San Luis Valley Origami) will be January (TBA)

"Messages from the Hidden Lake"

The Friends of the Library of the Alamosa Public Library are entering their 6th year in creating our annual art and literary magazine. For those who have submitted this year, we are in the process of editing/judging. Publishing should begin in October, with a release date in mid November. Cash prizes will be awarded at the November reception.

The First - Fifth editions of "Messages from the Hidden Lake" literary magazine are available. Come by and get your copies while supplies last. If you haven't bought your set yet, the 5 editions are now $40 set.

Mormon Trail Digitization Project

Old Mormon Trails, Colorado:
Southern Peaks Public Library received a grant from the Colorado Digitization Program (CDP)  for a scan center in the library! We had scanned historical photos of early Mormon settlers that you can access from the Heritage West Database.  See what we have digitized! Browse collections using Southern Peaks Public Library in the search line. (Southern Peaks Public Library is now Alamosa Public Library, but to search this site, use our old name.)
